Breas-t Lift Surgery In India

A breas-t lift, or mastopexy, is a surgical procedure ideal for candidates with sagging or enlarged drooping breas-ts that they have developed either due to the aging process or sudden weight loss following pregnancy and breas-t feeding.

The breas-t lift surgery in India performed at Designer Bodyz, aims to lift and reshape breas-ts that hang low over the chest and have the majority of their volume at their base. It is an effective procedure to restore firmer & lifted breas-ts. Breas-t lift surgery improves the elasticity of the female breas-t tissue by removing excess sagging tissue, and transforming the breas-t mound and nipple. A breas-t lift can reduce sagging and uplift the position of the nipples and the darker area surrounding the nipples (areola). To keep it in proportion to the newly shaped breas-ts, the size of the areola can also be reduced during the procedure.

Indications for Breas-t Lift Surgery
  • Breas-ts have lost shape and volume, or breas-ts have gotten flatter and saggy.
  • Breas-ts are unsupported or fall below the breas-t creases.
  • Nipples and areola point downward.
  • Areola have been stretched out of proportion to the breas-ts.
  • One of the breas-ts droops lower than the other.

Ideal Candidates for Breas-t Lift Surgery

  • Good candidates for a breas-t lift are in overall good health and are non-smokers and non-alcoholic or have quit at least 3 weeks before surgery. Smoking interferes with the body’s ability to heal efficiently after surgery.
  • Women who are not planning to have any more kids. Pregnancy, breas-t-feeding, and sudden changes in weight can cause the breas-ts to sag again, which will alter the appearance of postoperative breas-ts.
  • Women between the age groups of 35 and 70 make up the larger number of breas-t lift surgery candidates. Although sometimes women at a younger age may have larger and droopy breas-ts naturally that may not complement overall figure, cause back and neck pain. In such cases, breas-t lift & reduction procedures are combined to address the issues at hand.
  • The best candidates are those at or near their ideal weight.

Prerequisites for Breas-t Lift Surgery

Patients must go through some tests and medical evaluation to confirm candidature for the surgery, before commencing with breas-t lift surgery. Patients are suggested to follow the following steps

  • Review medical history
The surgeon will review the current and past medical conditions, any previous mammograms, any medications, and family history of breas-t cancer.
  • Physical examination
The surgeon will examine the quality of breas-t skin tone, position of the nipples and areolas, and any discrepancy in size and shape on each side.
  • Photographs
The surgeon will take pictures of the breas-t (face not included) for medical records and comparing the results.
  • The patient must discuss
Their desires and expectations in terms of the appearance of the breas-t.
  • Schedule a mammogram
If one is a good candidate for breas-t lift surgery, the surgeon will recommend a baseline mammogram before the surgery.
Breas-t Lift Surgery Procedure

Breas-t lift procedure can be achieved through a variety of incision patterns and techniques based on breas-t size and shape, size and position of areolas; degree of breas-t sagging, skin quality, and elasticity, and the amount of extra skin present.

1. Anesthesia
Anesthesia is administered for the comfort of the candidate during the surgical procedure. The choices include intravenous sedation and general anesthesia.

2. Making incisions
There are usually three common incision patterns:
(a) Around the areola
(b) Around the areola and vertically down from the areola to the breas-t crease
(c) Around the areola, vertically down from the breas-t crease and horizontally along the breas-t crease.

3. Lifting breas-t tissue
Once the incision is made, the underlying breas-t tissue is uplifted and reshaped to improve breas-t contour and firmness. The nipple and areola are repositioned to a natural, more youthful height.

4. Skin excision and fat removal
Enlarged areolas are reduced by excising skin on the outside. To compensate for a loss of elasticity, excess breas-t skin is removed.

5. Closing of the incisions
The remaining skin is tightened after the breas-ts are reshaped and excess skin is removed as the incisions are closed.

The breas-t lift surgery cost in India varies from patient to patient.

Benefits offered by Breas-t Lift Surgery

  • Better proportion of breas-ts and buttocks that improves overall figure.
  • Reduced back and neck pain caused by large breas-ts.
  • More youthful appearance.
  • Better fit of clothes and increased self-confidence.

Breas-t Lift Surgery Results

  • The candidate will notice an immediate change in the appearance of breas-ts, although their shape will continue to change and settle over the next few months.
  • The candidate might notice that bra size is a little smaller after a breas-t lift. This is simply a result of the breas-ts becoming firmer and rounder.
  • As the aging process takes place, the skin will naturally become less elastic, and some sagging might occur especially if someone has larger, heavier breas-ts. Maintaining a stable, healthy weight can help the candidate retain the results for a very long period of time.

  • Breas-ts will be bruised for about two weeks after surgery. The candidate will likely feel pain and soreness around the incisions, which will be red or pink for a few months.
  • Loss of sensation in the nipples, areola, and breas-t skin might last for about six weeks.
  • Sexual activity should be avoided for at least two to three weeks after breas-t lift surgery.
  • The surgical support bra should continue to be worn round-the-clock for three or four days. Then wear a soft support bra for three or four weeks. To promote healing, the doctor might suggest using silicone tape or gel on the incisions.

Frequently Asked Question

Can breas-t lift and breas-t augmentation procedures be performed on the same surgery?

Yes, breas-t augmentation can be combined with breas-t lift surgery and this is frequently practiced by Dr. Parag Telang on demand of his patients.

Should I wait until after pregnancy to get a breas-t lift?

Pregnancy can bring a big change to a woman’s breas-ts. Dr. Parag Telang, usually recommends that if a patient is going to get pregnant in the next year, then she must delay breas-t surgery because the breas-t will be different after her pregnancy. Although, there is no contraindication to pregnancy or breas-tfeeding after a breas-t augmentation or lift surgery, but the patient will need to undergo a revision surgery to reverse the changes that takes place during pregnancy and bres-tfeeding.

What is the recovery time from a breas-t lift surgery?

Depending on the amount of skin removed, most females go back to work after breas-t lift surgery anywhere from 2 days to 14 days after the surgery. Heavy lifting requires two weeks. Sedentary work requires only 2-5 days depending on the amount of skin removed and also depending on how the patient feels with that degree of tightening.
